KORN UNPLUGGED WORST TV
"MTV Unplugged: Korn" — which will be released on CD February 20 and air online February 10 and on TV February 17 — was the first taping of the revived program since 2005's "Alicia Keys: Unplugged" special (see "Alicia Keys Taps Mos Def, Common For 'Inspired' 'Unplugged' "), and it was the first of several others in the works. So how would tracks like "Got the Life," "Blind" and "Freak on a Leash" sound unplugged? Well, different, of course — but no less ominous, passionate or intimidating. This is a band that doesn't rock sitting down. This is a band whose members scream through entire live sets with such force that they can be heard over the 120 decibels they're known for pumping out onstage. Let's face it: Korn — who helped give birth to an entire genre of aggressive, hip-hop-imbued rock during the mid-1990s and have become renowned for delivering one of the most intense and brutal live shows around — and the word "acoustic" have never appeared in the same sentence until, well, right now. NEW YORK — Walking away from Saturday's taping of "MTV Unplugged: Korn," one couldn't help but reflect on the fact that this band actually pulled it off. The song with a tune so generic, the actual lyrics can be replaced with basically any words one can think of. Greenday, "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" The Darkness, "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" (or whatever the title is).
Taken on it's own, not that much worse than anything else she's done, but makes my list because the song is a classic and she completely ruined it. Much of the older rap/hip-hop is decent, though. All Rap/Hip Hop produced since the "gangsta" trend started, with Eminem, Kanye West and 50 Cent as exceptionally bad. All country, except Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. Dixie Chicks, Barbara Streisand, U2, Toby Keith, Greenday, etc. Any artist who gets too much of their politics into their music. So everytime I hear this song, it makes me think good thoughts, lol.īack to the subject, I can't stand anything by Toby Keith, he needs to be crowbarred along with Nickelback, Hinder, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, etc. I was actually asked if I was interested in talking to her again, and I said "Hell no". So I find out 2 years ago that she has 4 kids and hates her husband and wants out of her marriage. Not even a month after coming back home, my mom gets a phone call saying she married this 21 yr old. So long story short she asks me if I can wait till she's 18 cause she doesn't want to get married till then, and me being then 14 and stupid, I say yes. I can't help but burst into laughter at this moment.
He say's they're gonna be bigger then Guns 'N' Roses, lol. So he tries to be my best friend and starts talking about how great this band called "4 Non-Blondes" is and they're song "What's up" is one of the top 10 songs of all time.
